Details

A tall, softly tapered hurricane in pearlised ivory glass, footed in metal, with a cast peacock climbing the full height of one side. The train falls from the shoulder to the base in overlapping tiers of chased feathers, each eye individually worked. Used as a vase it takes a real armful — lilies, roses and foliage sit at the right height in it. Left empty with a thick pillar candle inside, the pearl glass turns the flame into a wide, low glow. Twelve inches tall and weighted at the foot, so it holds a heavy arrangement without tipping.
